  • To support artists and recognize their value

  • Support and engage accomplished artists as well as provide a teaching opportunity to area youth

  • Create valued public art to help build community and increase walkability

  • Elevate the perception of the City of Dayton and generate positive media coverage

  • Higher visibility improves existing businesses, thus increasing their profitability

  • Uplift the community and encourage a greater sense of belonging

  • Murals transform and activate public spaces into large-scale art galleries - art for everyone

  • Mural festivals have become a major tourist attraction, generating revenue for local businesses and boosting the local economy

  • This project will create job opportunities for artists and other creative professionals involved in the festival
