VISION
Multiple National and Regional artists converging to share their mural process with the Dayton, Ohio community - painting in unison
The project is to coincide with the Downtown Dayton Partnership’s Art in the City festival in August 2024
Mission
To contribute to our growing public arts with a celebration of multiple murals in the downtown Dayton area
To support artists and recognize their value
Support and engage accomplished artists as well as provide a teaching opportunity to area youth
Create valued public art to help build community and increase walkability
Elevate the perception of the City of Dayton and generate positive media coverage
Higher visibility improves existing businesses, thus increasing their profitability
Uplift the community and encourage a greater sense of belonging
Murals transform and activate public spaces into large-scale art galleries - art for everyone
Mural festivals have become a major tourist attraction, generating revenue for local businesses and boosting the local economy
This project will create job opportunities for artists and other creative professionals involved in the festival
Projects such as this have a cultural impact on the urban environment and the well-being of the people who live there
This project will provide an opportunity for many to engage in the process, including businesses, organizations and individuals

Atalie Gagnet
A Dayton, Ohio native, began her mural business in 2003. She has had the privilege of sharing her painting skills at the Guggenheim Museum, locally and internationally managing and installing outdoor murals up to 7,000 sq. ft. for Architectural Digest for Art Basel Miami.
A nonprofit organization funded primarily by a Special Improvement District. The Special Improvement District contracts with the DDP to provide a variety of services including business development, advocacy and marketing.
